A "Christmas Fundraiser" for the Waldorf Community is sponsored by Rhonda Hill.  The goal is to help bring some Christmas joy and hope to those who are less fortunate.

"My mission is real simple  to help all those who are in need and to give our Heavenly Glorious Father God and his Precious Holy Son our Savior Jesus Christ all of the glory and praise."

The Christmas Fundraiser will be held on 1 December 2011 from 6:30-9:30pm at the Westchester in the Pavilions Appartments (3560 Malvern St. Waldorf MD), Bldg 3494. There will be several Christmas gifts for purchase and opportunties to donate.  You can donate household items, furniture, clothing, etc. If you have any interest or questions, please contact Ms. Rhonda at rhill02@comcast.net or call 240-210-6193.

Reverends Gordon and Marilyn Oliver established "It Takes Three Marriage Ministries" to teach GOD’s biblical principles to couples who are married, engaged and those seeking GOD first in their lives so that HE can bless their marriages. This ministry is a non-profit organization and was incorporated April 2007 with a mission to partner with churches in establishing marriage ministries where biblical principles are given on how GOD would have us to be godly husbands and wives. Don't Shipwreck This Christmas Holiday

Please don’t let this Christmas become your "shipwreck."

Let us change the way we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus this Holiday period….do not let this Christmas become the time to create hardships for ourselves! By focusing more on Jesus this Christmas we will not allow ourselves to become shipwrecked…that sinking ship in the wide blue sea of "unnecessary debt." Why do we give in so easily to the commercialism of buying stuff that we can not afford just to be able to say we purchase someone a Christmas present…Jesus never told us to remember his birth by getting into deep debt. Jesus would rather his servant be set free of the bondage of debt. How can we focus on Christ Jesus during this Holiday period if we are over burden with the worry of being a slave to debt? Just as we were once enslaved to sin, Jesus has cancelled all debt for our sin. Now let this 2011 Holiday be the time that Jesus sets His servants free of financial hardships…caused by the self inflicted wounds of Christmas debt!

Remember the following line from the SOD…"Ask GOD to show you the lesson and the blessing of the hardship"--I believe that if many of us are honest, we have not learned from our past hardships….have we learned anything from our past Christmas debts? The SOD has also pointed out that "Now I don’t want us to think that blessings only come through hardships." I believe this statement is telling us that God also blesses good stewardship…doing what is right! John 10:10…"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Yes, God desires that we have an abundant and full life…in other words…God wants to bless us. So, let us remember that God will bless us even the more if we truly let our focus be more on Christ Jesus over this Holiday period and not spending money we don't have for Christmas gifts…so , this year, let our thoughts be more on good stewardship…as there are blessing and rewards for those who are good stewards.Yes, God loves our cheerful and enthusiastic giving to the needy…but let us do our part in preventing unnecessary hardships on ourselves…especially, avoiding that "shipwreck of unnecessary debt" this Holiday season--let us have a "New Point of View."
